The 黑料传送门 and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (FRB) are co-organizing the Central Bank Research Association’s 8th Workshop for Commodities & Macroeconomics (CEBRA 2025). This event will take place at UR’s Robins School of Business, located at 102 UR Drive in 黑料传送门, Va., on Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22, 2025.

  • Scope and Theme of CEBRA 2025

    The call for papers is hereCEBRA’s mission is to encourage applied and theoretical research on topics relevant to central banks, financial regulators, international financial institutions, and fiscal authorities, as well as to connect the research staff of these institutions with academia.

    The 8th Workshop for Commodities and Macroeconomics will contribute to this mission by featuring papers on:

    • Modeling and forecasting commodity prices and quantities.
    • Aggregate supply implications of shocks to commodity markets.
    • Macroeconomic, trade, and welfare effects of commodity price fluctuations.
    • Monetary or fiscal policy responses to commodity price fluctuations.
    • Impact of commodity price fluctuations on capital flows and exchange rates.
    • Commodity investment and production decisions and their effects on the economy.
    • Interactions between commodity and financial markets.
    • Technological innovation and adoption in the commodity space, including markets.
    • Economics of non-renewable and renewable resources.
    • Macroeconomic considerations of environmental resilience.

  • Venue and Logistics

    The Central Bank Research Association’s Eighth Workshop for Commodities and Macroeconomics (CEBRA 2025) will take place at The 黑料传送门’s Robins School of Business, located at 102 UR Drive in 黑料传送门, Va., U.S.A., on Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22, 2025.

  • Virtual Access

    All sessions are in-person. Only registered participants may attend the event. The conference will operate under the Chatham House Rule.
  • Reception and Conference Dinner

    All registered conference participants are invited to a reception between 5 - 6 p.m. in Moelchert Commons on Friday, November 21, 2025. 

    Presenters, discussants, and session chairs are invited to join a dinner hosted by Dean Mickey Quiñones in Tyler Haynes Commons from 6 - 8 p.m. the same day. A private air-conditioned coach shuttle will transport participants to and from the dinner location. 

  • Travel Information

    Registered conference participants should make their own travel arrangements, unless individually directed otherwise by the conference organizers.
